- HARVEST:
  1. METHOD A:
    1. . Pull Plant by stem; This will dislodge a section of root with the herb.
    2. 2. Cut root into container: Plastic bag in bush, a pail in gardens.
    3. 3. Lay tops parallel on a paraflech, or harvest basket.

    1. Cut with sickle;
    2. 2.gather in parallel bunches
    3. 3.Place in parafech or in harvest basket
  3. C. METHOD C:
    1. Cut with mower/swather
- Processing:
  Drying on a small scale the herb may be tied together at the base and suspended from rafter, etc. Screens work well as they collect the leaves that fall off. The herb will be dry enough when one can pull the stem though the hands and the leaves fall off easily. This will take from one to 3 days or more depending on drying condition. We are looking for a fast low temp dry.
  
  The crushed leaves than can be stored in containers as close to airtight as possible. Gassing with nitrogen or CO₂. This will control deterioration from insects, oxidation, etc.
